Spiritual Direction Questions

Spiritual Direction is a one-on-one session with a trained director who helps you grow in your relationship with God by listening, reflecting, and discerning His presence in your life.

If you desire a deeper relationship with God, need guidance in your spiritual journey, or want a sacred space to reflect on how God is working in your life, Spiritual Direction may be a great fit.

Each session provides a quiet, prayerful space where you can talk about your faith journey, struggles, and experiences. Your director will listen, ask questions, and help you recognize where God is leading you.

Sessions are typically held once a month, allowing time for personal reflection and growth between meetings. However, the frequency can be adjusted based on your needs.

No formal preparation is required, but it can be helpful to reflect on your recent spiritual experiences, prayers, or any questions you have about your faith before your session.

You can select a director based on their background, approach, and availability. Each director is trained through the Spiritual Formation Institute and committed to providing a Christ-centered space for growth.

Yes. To move forward to the next year in the Spiritual Formation journey, participants must attend all four retreats in the current year. Each retreat builds upon the last, creating a rhythm of formation that’s essential for deepening your relationship with God and your community. We encourage you to prioritize the full retreat rhythm as part of your commitment.
General Retreat Questions

SFI is designed to help people go deeper with God, no matter how long they have been a believer. If you are hungry for going deeper with God, whether you are a pastor, leader, leading your family, or wanting to know Jesus in a more intimate way, wanting to understand how to grow your faith, or sensing God is moving in you to seek Him more, this Program is for you.
SFI wants to help anyone who is seeking God, seeking to know Jesus and His Spirit in greater depth or clarity.
If you fit any of these categories, I welcome you to register and come enjoy a wonderful journey with Jesus loving, guiding and revealing Himself to you that you may know Him intimately well.

You may register by going to spiritualformationinstitute.com where you will find a registration form for the coming Institute program year. Upon submission of the form and payment in full for Retreat One the registration will be complete

Along with your Bible, bring anything that helps you feel more at home away from home, and helps you rest more comfortably. Bring attire appropriate for the weather, as you will have an extended opportunity outdoor time if you wish.
We suggest and encourage you to leave your cell phone in your room during the day to remove the temptation to check it. If it is essential to have your phone with you please be sure it is on do not disturb mode.

If you find you need to cancel prior to the first Retreat all deposits will be refunded.
Southern Nevada Retreat Questions

The cost of the Retreat Package covers lodging and meals for all four retreats, as well as all program materials for the year

The Retreat on Charleston Peak is located at 2755 Kyle Canyon Road.
To get to the hotel take I-95 north to the Kyle Canyon cutoff. Turn left and continue up the mountain for approximately 17 miles. You will come to a roundabout; go through the roundabout and begin to watch for the hotel on the left-hand side of the road, directly across from a church.

The Chef for the hotel does her best to be attentive to the different dietary restrictions some of us face. We provide the menu prior to each retreat so that you can be prepared in case it limits what you are able to eat. If you have dietary restrictions you are welcomed to bring your own food to supplement or replace some of the meals that are offered. There is a microwave available in the café area to warm your food and some rooms are equipped with a small refrigerator.

The cost of the Retreat Package covers all program materials and the five meals included with each Retreat.
Optional for your participation in the SFI program is choosing to book hotel room for each of the four Retreats. Each Retreat begins Thursday evening at 5 pm. and concludes Saturday at 12 noon. It is encouraged if you are driving more than 30-45 minutes to attend each day we recommend you book a room for both Thursday and Friday night to reflect on all that each day offers you and your time alone with God that is a key part of each day.

The Catering staff is sensitive to the needs of healthy eating. You will receive the menu after you register, before the Retreat begins. If you desire to bring your own, there will be a refrigerator and a microwave available to you to bring additional foods you need.
